Fish excursion

Had a day out to the fish aquaria centre with F , T and their offspring. Snuggle fit in the 7 Seaters, off we went to the city. Kids were behaving really well, the two younger masters were happy keeping each other accompany in the economy row, one of them actually fell asleep so master 2 just looked bored to death. In the meantime, Master 1, Miss M and Master C together with F happily sitting in the business class row. ( poor F, i hope she didnt mind looking after the kids). The first class row was me and the driver T. It was going to be a big challenge, especially for me. I have never taken both masters out by myself as i would probably be busy shouting, and trying to keep them under control.

What happen next?……

After taking a nice stroll through KLCC, we ended up at the fish aquaria.. The kids seem to be enjoying themselves, but i felt i was exhausted. Master 1 was ok, but it was master 2 that was tiring me out. He kept on wanting to run , run master run. I was busy looking after the stroller, the camera around my neck and trying to keep master 2 at bay. Thanks for T who helped me hold the baby lease.

After taking 1 quick round at the aquaria, we decided to take a break and have lunch at the lounge. We whipped out our homemade sandwiches and fruits and the kids were running wild. Finally i could catch my breath..

30 mins later … off we went for the 2nd time round

Finally after spending at least 2 hours, we walked around Klcc. It was packed with people, and while we were waiting for T, the kids enjoyed the train rides and some refreshing drinks.  There was a promotion at KLCC and T bought a book for more than 100rm, so she was entitled a free hanna tattoo. She gave it to the 3 kids and they were so excited. Finally it was time to head home, the kids are getting tired.. i was already in zombie land myself haha

Eaten Alive

After coming back from a relaxing holiday at Tioman, i had a very unwanted souvenirs. I have been bitten by sand flies all over my back and arm. Unable to resist the temptation, i scratch like there’s no tomorrow, ahh isnt it such a nice feeling when you can scratch ?? Well scratch = more scratching = unpleasant scars . Like the saying, once you scratch you can stop.  So the next time you see me, i will not be wearing anything skimpy, but instead i’ll be covering myself up. There goes my boob tops, bare back and spaghetti strap tops!

Anniversary

After many days and months, with 2 kids and a dog, we have finally reached our 5th year anniversary. To tell you the truth, we didnt really get to celebrate our anniversaries for some due reason. When i meant celebrate, i mean with dinner just the two of us with maybe a present on the side.. hehe Here is the run through of our anniversaries:

1st year – went to KLCC early and suppose to have a nice romantic dinner, but because i was pregnant with master 1, i couldn't wait till dinner time and decided that food court food taste yummy. I had a kebab, and my other half had curry laska!

2nd year – went back to my hubby’s hometown thinking that we could leave master 1 with his grand parents, but instead they tag along together with our niece. We had dinner together with them at “the ship”

3rd year – in the labour room with master 2. So no dinner for me and a gift for hubby

4th year –totally forgotten about our anniversary because we were busy celebrating our master 2’s 1st birthday. but to some kind friends, they remembered for us HAHA thank to you :)

5th year – Took the opportunity since we have a maid to help babysit the kids and finally celebrating our first real anniversary, just the two of us, peace and quiet … We ask around where to eat and SZ suggested somewhere romantic – one bangsar…one of the restaurant… and finally decided to try the French food. When we got there we didn't realised that the shop was actually closed for a long time, so the next stop was to try the Italian. Unfortunately that was also close for function…what a luck.. so we made our trip to Midvalley instead ( cos i wanted to get something there hehe)

So rushing my way to the garden at midvalley, i found the shop that was waiting for. To my unfortunate, the wristlet that i was looking for was not available, and only the bigger version was displayed. I didn't want a handbag, but instead i wanted a wristlet, small enough for my phone and some money but not too small that i cant seem to put anything or too big that it seem so troublesome

Walked around the garden and managed to find my possible dream wristlet.. it was Burberry… but the cost doesn't agree to me even though hubby was willing to get it. So im very fickle minded at the moment… Should i or should i not get it. maybe i should save the money and buy the air conditioner or electric gate..hahaha.. see.. i was upset that hubby didnt get me anything for our anniversary, and he asked me what i want and i secretly told him my wants is a wristlet bag.. now after window shopping and hunting… i might actually conclude my wish…….

to be continued…. ( im getting sleepy)

Oh we had Paddington house of pancake for dinner. It was yummy, aussie burger and california sausage finish with sweet pancake.. hmmm... yummy..

My first Roast Chicken

I have finally decided to roast my first ever whole chicken. I’ve always wanted to roast a chicken but was too afraid of wasting the big bird if a boo boo was to happen…

I did started off with chicken pieces, and it was sort of a success, but was on the drier side.

The night before, i took the frozen bird from the freezer and started to defrost it in the fridge. To my amazement… the next morning it was still frozen! It was already 10am and yet hard as a rock. Thinking to myself that i had to cook this for lunch and its already 10 am, i quickly took the water defrost method. It was finally done after 1 hr when i decided to wash the chicken and started to get rid of the excess fat. This was my first time cleaning a whole chicken and it was kind of turning me off. The smell, the rawness of the meat, the amount of fat i could see under the skin. I was thinking.. oh gosh how am i going to cook this fella??

So after washing, i had to massage him. Massage him with garlic rosemary butter.. ahh it felt awful haha..

Preheated the oven, i shoved the chicken in, hoping for the best

20 minutes on one side, then turn it for another 20 minute…. after removing the foil, piggy said “ the chicken is still white, looks like it going to be 1.30pm not 1pm”.

Starting to panic, i started to bake without the foil. Cooked another 20 minutes, still no luck. it was not burning… the side were still white!! I then had to consult sz, she told me to grill it to brown the skin, and i place it on the upper rack… Save by the bell. total time of cooking…from 12.15pm to almost 1.45pm .. ok still enough time for piggy before he goes to class..

Result not too dry, gravy came out nice, piggy gave a 110% and i had a burn mark from basting the chicken….

Boy’s best friend

Master 2 was ecstatic when he could finally hug a dog without it running away. He took the liking of a golden retriever and decided to adopt him home. He held him so tight that his parents felt the bond he made, so they decided to get this puppy for him..

As you can see, his best friend ( no name at the moment), is well house trained. He would obey the little master at no cost. They enjoyed the wrestling, great big hugs and friendship made..

The noodle boy and his chocolate brother

Once upon a time, there was a little boy called Master two,who started to enjoy his adventure with the world of noodles. It was only then he realised the world he was missing out, since his only staple diet was rice porridge.

The father of master two started to endeavour the wonders of noodle, when master two walked pass him. He stopped and looked. The two little feet came thumping as his eyes were fixed on the long strand of noodle hanging off the long wooden chopstick. He stood next to his father, mouth open like a little baby bird waiting for food. After a mouth full he realised that standing was impossible. He took the chair and eagerly pulled himself up and sat on the chair waiting for more…

And here are some of the photos …………….

Back to nature……

The other day our family and L’s family decided to take a trip to see the Pony at Rawang.  I didnt know whether it was nice, but took the chance since it was the school holiday and master 1 was getting a little bored at home.  The idea came about  from L’s son.  They had a holiday program and all of the holiday kids were attending, so L decided to tag along.

So i mention to piggy about this pony trip that we were planning to go and he decided to tag along. Great, a family day out.  We didnt really know much about this pony riding in Rawang, and after making many phone calls, it was located at the Commonwealth park.  Still no idea where or what kind of location..

Being clueless about the location, we used our GPS and typed in Templer’s park since we couldnt find commonwealth park.  Someone suggested it was called Templer’s park.  After a good 45 minutes drive, Templer’s park was on our left hand side. Thinking to myself, hmm this looks like a big field, simple park. We were about to turn in when the drive in front of us ( we were semi following L’s car and GPS), continued driving straight.  It was then we realised that it wasnt Temple’s park that they were talking about.  When we finally found the park it was called “ Commonwealth Forest Park”.

The entrance looked rather bare and deserted, but we continued to enter.  We drove a good 5 minutes through the beautiful up hill winding road.. I was in Awe… all i could see up is tall trees.

Finally we found the car park, and there were actually people in the reserve. Not so many compared to FRIM, but a handful. Mostly Malays. They were riding on the horses, and i was beginning to feel happy.  We decided to take the kids to explore the backyard of the forest.  Master 2 saw the rooster running around the yard, and he decided to follow. He was ecstatic… you could see his expression. It was the first time a city boy saw a rooster in the kampung style yard (village). Both Master 1 and L’s sons were overjoyed.

After exploring and taking heaps of photos, we decided it was time for a little snack, so we found a picnic hut and started stuffing our face with hotdog made by me.

My kids and L’s kids were busy exploring the nature. Master 2 and L’s youngest son hang out at the sandpit and stream, whereas master 1 and L’s eldest son were on the hunt for paint ball bullets.

Unfortunately, we couldnt get the chance to ride on the pony as it was time for them to take a snooze( the horse needed their morning rest).  Beside that we had one of the greatest time hanging out in the forest and took lots of photos.

DSC_0952DSC_0938DSC_1023 DSC_1037 DSC_1057 DSC_1069 DSC_1072 DSC_1112 DSC_1157     DSC_0956 DSC_0962 DSC_0963 DSC_0965 DSC_0976 DSC_0996 DSC_0999 DSC_1016 DSC_1165DSC_1171           We should encourage more of our children to go to these kind of places. City kids need to get in touch with nature . Fresh air and scent from forest is a change from the polluted hazy air we face in the suburban area and city. Nowadays kids need to be introduce to the nature of insects and livings things found in the forest.  In the future, they might not be able to see these things…

Today i was reading the star newspaper and they were mentioning something about another forest reserve, Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve. We are interested in checking out the place as it is located in Puchong, somewhere in Saujana. I have email the caretaker and i hope we can get a feedback from him.
